October 22, 2018 – NASD School Board Meeting
Absent: Jodi Mammana and Denise Glaros.

Kathy and Maurice Heller were honored during the dedication of the tennis courts adjacent to Shafer Elementary. The Hellers donated both time and money to the project and were lauded for their volunteerism.

Facilities Update
The roof on the High School has been finished and the floor of the gym is expected to be completed by Nov. 12th, just in time for winter sports. Just a few items are left on the punch list at Butz Elementary.
2019-2020 Budget
The Business Manager has met with all of the schools and nearly finalized salary projections. It is expected that the district will pay an additional $1 million in salaries next year. Health insurance premiums are expected to rise by 7.5%.
A preliminary budget should be available for public view by Dec. 10th
Agenda Items
Items 7, 8, 9 & 12 passed with Linda Stubits voting ‘no’ on the purchase of 40 additional iPads for $13,560 and cases for the Intermediate School.

Is Jodi Mammana sick? I noticed she was absent from the last 4 meetings.
