PUBLIC COMMENT
Residents from the corner of 1st Street and Friedenstahl Avenue complained that they’ve experienced problems with flooding for the last 40 years, it’s getting worse and they don’t see how they could sell their house with its history. They’re not allowed to put in a curb and the berm they installed isn’t keeping out the water. The owner made an offer to the township – give him market rate for the property ($350K) and UNT can turn the land into a detention pond
Bill Bartlett from 4th Street requested an update on the flooding recently reported by a Tatamy Road resident
Scott Sylvania said the land is so flat it makes a solution difficult and expensive. The Engineer said possible plans could cost up to $2 million. He is reaching out to the quarry to see if directing the water to the quarry would be a possible
