SUPERVISORS COMMENTS
Approval to set a hearing date of April 3rd for a Conditional Use Application for Overlook Estates
Approval by a vote of 4-to-1 (Mullens against) to draft an ordinance to raise the salaries of Supervisors to be in line with state recommendations for 2nd Class Townships. The increase will not go into effect until each position is refilled following an election. Brian Sayago pointed out that the Township’s population is around 8,900. If approved, the ordinance would raise Supervisor salaries to $2,500 per year.
Approval to post the Profit & Loss and the Balance & Income statements up on the website.
Scott Sylvainus asked Gary Asteak if there’d been a ruling in the Faust Lawsuit. Gary said “no, not yet.”
The Supervisors had previously sought data on Police/Fire calls for flooding but, as those calls are typically to an intersection and not a house, the office is having problems compiling it. The most common problems are at the intersection of Fridenstahl Ave and Tatamy Road and on Tatamy Road past the Intermediate School. The Fire Chief said he thought some of the flooding might be due to debris clogging up culverts and recommended cleaning out the basin for preventative maintenance.
TOWNSHIP ENGINEER
Approval to ratify the Norfolk Civil Engineering Agreement for the Rail Road Crossing on Gun Club Road. The Township will initially pay the bill and then be reimbursed by the developer.
TOWNSHIP SOLICITOR
Approval of Ordinance No. 193, an updated Noise Ordinance.
PUBLIC WORKS
Approval to increase the pay of a worker from 85% to 90% of the Labor 2 rate. ($28.04/hour)
Approval of a quote from Kelley Brothers to replace 3 doors in the township building and install panic bars.
MS-4 STORMWATER
The township plans to schedule a public meeting to review the draft of the new Stormwater policy.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Supervisors discussed the draft of a Conceptual Site Plan for land at the intersection of Newburg and Gun Club Road with input from Edge of the Woods.
