PUBLIC COMMENTS

I informed the Supervisors that, with the start of Spring sports, the School District continues to leave the gate at 4th Street wide open. Parents are driving up Farmview Avenue and turning onto 4th Street, clearly expecting the gate to be open. Drivers speed through the neighborhood and park on the roads, often blocking mailboxes, driveways and stop signs. I pointed out that signage in the area is completely inadequate and that some people have reported that Google Maps leads them to that entrance.

The Supervisors said they would look into contacting Google and informing them that 4th Street is not to be used as an entrance. Brian Sayago said that the township needs a formal agreement with the school district as they own the gate. UNT has held talks with the Superintendent, but he never responded to a letter they sent him months ago. The Chief of Police said he will arrange for cars to patrol the area and issue parking tickets as needed.

TOWNSHIP SOLICITOR

A draft of the Conditional Use document is currently under review by the supervisors.

TOWNSHIP ENGINEER

Brian Sayago asked for a status report for items on Engineering report.

  • Eagles Landing stormwater plan – The Conservation District has issues with a basin in Tuskes Park and a Notice of Termination hasn’t yet to be issued. The developer is still on the hook for maintenance of the basin.
  • Improvements on Gun Club Road – A lawsuit has been filed and the developer is working to resolve issues
  • MS4 Program – A meeting was held about this in May 2022. Brian wanted to know when the plan would be finished. The engineer said the plan is in progress.
  • The Fieldview Basin retrofit – This is a township project and will be handled in-house. Work is currently in progress.
