Township employees and elected officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Fitness Court at Leibert Park. (Leibert Park is located behind the Municipal Building at 100 Newport Ave.)
The $275,000 project was funded through the UNT Recreation Fund, a $30,000 grant and sponsorships from St. Luke’s University Health Network and Martin Guitar.
The Fitness Court has two sections – one offers a full body workout with 7 zones: core, squat, push, lunge, pull, agility and bend. The other will be used for classes in yoga, Zumba, Pilates, etc. Residents can check the website for scheduled classes.
The park also features a walking trail which was installed earlier this year.
