There is an open position on the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC). Residents interested in serving should send a Letter of Interest to the Township Office.

I brought up the parking ordinance which passed at the Feb. 5th meeting and asked why signs hadn’t been posted yet. Shawn Shupe from Public Works said the ground is currently frozen. Also, they had the PA 811 “Before You Dig” people come out and mark the utility lines with paint but then it snowed which covered up all the markings. Now they need the PA 811 people to repaint the lines before the township can install the signs which inform drivers that parking east of the High School is limited to residents during school hours.
TOWNSHIP ENGINEER
On the recommendation of the Engineer, the Supervisors voted to deny a change order request from Build All for electrical work in the new annex at the Municipal Building.
TOWNSHIP MANAGER
The Township is now using a “Go to Meeting” system for broadcasting meetings instead of “Go to Webinar” which is expected to save the township $1,000. At the moment, the system is only recording audio.
Approval to issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for an update to the SALDO. Upon a request from William Bartlett, the update will include a section on KARST assessment.
Lisa Klem reported receiving a $20K grant from the County to offset the cost of the SALDO update.
PLANNING AND ZONING
Approval of an Extension Request to April 30, 2025 for the Nazareth Borough Yard Waste Facility.
Approval to submit a Sewage Facilities Planning Module for the Penn Dixie Commercial Park site to DEP.
Approval to submit a Sewage Facilities Planning Module for Overlook Estates West to DEP.
PUBLIC WORKS
Approval to pay $10,725 for new gutters at the Garage on Daniels Road.
RECREATION
Plans are being made for events in October which will include a Trunk or Treat event, a 5K run for adults and a 1 mile run for kids at Tuskes Park.
