PUBLIC COMMENTS
Two residents from Tatamy Road expressed continued concern and frustration with the flooding in their area and asked if there’d been any update from Heidelberg about directing excess stormwater into the quarry. Scott Sylvainus said Heidelberg had concerns about the quality of the stormwater although Nazareth Borough already drains their stormwater into the quarry. One resident asked that, if the lots they live on now were open, would the township issue building permits with the known drainage issue and wanted to know why some landowners weren’t being held accountable for stormwater runoff. Gary Asteak said that he doubted Heidelberg would help with as there isn’t anything in it for them.
The Supervisors voted to approved an expanded Feasibility Study from Carrol Engineering to look at options.
An East Lawn resident reported a safety issue with people parking too close to Stop signs on Wayne and Newport Roads. Any car coming out to make a turn has visibility issues and risks being hit. Shawn Shupe reported that there is one sign up for ‘No Parking from here to corner’ and others could be installed. Mike Rinker suggested people call the Police and have them take care of it.
