PUBLIC COMMENTS
I thanked the Public Works Department for clearing away fallen branches from a curb-side tree which fell during the thunderstorm on July 3rd.
LIBRARY PRESENTATION
Director Holly Bennet thanked the supervisors for their support of Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity (MLNV) including participating in the Touch-a-Truck event in October and for the use of Tuskes Park for story time. The Summer Reading program is underway with 500 children participating, including 120 from Upper Nazareth. The program is supported through grants and partnerships, including several UNT businesses. Library services offered include loaning out books and other items such as cake pans and mobile hot spots. This year, 200 patrons received help with their taxes thanks to a partnership with AARP. MNLV recently replaced its HVAC system—a $500,000 project.

A presentation on services to collect Real Estate and Earned Income Tax revenue.
SUPERVISOR COMMENTS
Tabled – a proposal by Brian Sayago to increase the annual supervisor salary to the state limit of $4,190.
TOWNSHIP ENGINEER
Approval of a request from Scenic View Estates III for a Letter of Credit by $51,546.
TOWNSHIP MANAGER
Approval of a proposal from Altronics to install a fire detection system in the new annex of the municipal building for a cost not to exceed $5,593.
Approval to purchase a sign for the front of the municipal building for $9,323 from the Nazareth Sign Company.
EAC
William Bartlett reported that bids for the Tree and Shrub installation at Upper Nazareth Harvest Grove will be posted later this week.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Tabled – a request from Police Chief Cope for a traffic study for the intersection of Route 248 and Michaels School Road. The township engineer is going to check with a traffic expert to see if the volume is high enough to justify the study. Chief Cope would like to make a portion of Michaels School Road a one-way street.
