Zoning Hearing Board Rescheduled Due to Large Turn-out

July 30, 2025 – Zoning Hearing Board Meeting

Due to standing-room-only conditions at the UNT Municipal Building, Zoning Board Solicitor, Steven Goudsozian, opened the hearing by announcing that, due to safety concerns, the hearing would have to be rescheduled. As of now, it will be held at 6:30 PM on September 18, 2025 at another location – possibly one of the NASD auditoriums.  (The meeting room in the municipal building has a maximum occupancy of 119).

Mr. Goudsozian informed those in attendance that public opinions are not heard at these types of proceedings. The public will have the opportunity to speak on this issue at other public meetings. (A Zoning Hearing Board is similar to a court  of law with lawyers doing presentations, a court reporter recording the official record and the Zoning Hearing Board rendering a judgement.)

The Zoning Board members are Andrew Bohl, Mark Stewart and Keith Haverstock. Andrew Bohl announced that he has a conflict of interest and is recusing himself so alternate, William Whyte, will be serving in his place.

Solicitors are Mike Peters (representing the developer, One More Properties), Gary Asteak (representing Upper Nazareth Township) and another lawyer who is representing Buzzi Unicem. It was not disclosed why Buzzi Unicem is involved.
