ANNOUNCEMENTS/EVENTS
There is an open position on the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC). Residents interested in serving should send a Letter of Interest to the Township Office.
September 18th – CANCELLED 6:30 PM Zoning Hearing Board at the Middle School Auditorium. The meeting will be rescheduled
October 15th – Budget Meeting at 6:00PM
October 18th – Ghouls & Goblins 5K Run from 7AM – 11AM
October 18th – Trunk or Treat from 3PM – 5PM at Tuskes Park
November 9th – Budget Meeting at 6:00PM
November 19th – Budget Meeting at 6:00PM
November 28th – 6:00 PM Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Township Building
PUBLIC COMMENT
A Penn Allen Road resident asked if there was a fine for littering in the township as someone keeps dumping litter on her road. She requested a “No Dumping” sign be installed. She also reported that traffic and speeding continues to be a problem in her area and that someone needs to come by and pick up the roadkill.
I asked about the Zoning Board Hearing for the Aspire Nazareth project scheduled for September 18th. That meeting has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.
SUPERVISOR COMMENTS
Brian Sayago reported that he’d attended a Community Outreach event for Heidelberg Cement recently. Heidelberg is looking for additional people from the community to participate. Anyone interested should contact Brian Sayago.
TOWNSHIP ENGINEER
Approval to advertise the 2026 MS4 (stormwater) renewal application.
Approval for a traffic study on Michaels School Road, not to exceed $9,000. This study is being done to apply to PennDOT for permission to change part of the road to One-Way.
PLANNING AND ZONING
At the September meeting there was a presentation of the KARST study ordered in the Spring. The report is almost completed.
PUBLIC WORKS
Scott Sylvanius relayed that residents on the West end of 4th Street are requesting a “Children at Play” sign be installed.
Mike Rinker said that residents are requesting a “Deer Crossing” sign be installed at the corner of Rose Inn and Bile Ave.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Approval to suspend an employee with pay.
Approval to promote for Jake Carrick from Corporal to Sergeant.
