Zoning Hearing Board for Aspire Nazareth to be continued

October 29, 2025

A large crowd showed up to the Nazareth Area Middle School Auditorium tonight to listen to the Zoning Hearing Board appeal by One More Properties concerning their plan to build 154 apartments on the 11 acres at the corner of East Lawn Rd and Friedenstahl Avenue. This plan was denied by the Zoning Officer earlier in the year on the basis that it did not fit the TD-6 Zoning regulations due to issues with density.

The meeting opened with a Roll Call and approval of the previous meeting minutes. The Board Solicitor announced that the meeting was to address the legal interpretation of the zoning ordinance. Mike Peters, the Solicitor for the Applicant, One More Properties, announced that they were in talks with the township for an alternate use of the site and requested a continuance until December 31, 2025.

The Zoning Hearing Board voted unanimously to grant the request for a continuance and announced that another hearing would be scheduled. If a date could not be found before the end of the year, then they would continue the request into 2026.

Unsurprisingly, the people in attendance were not happy about the delay, believing that these endless delays could be a ploy. The Zoning Board Solicitor said that’s why they held tonight’s meeting so the announcement could be made publicly, pointing out that any future meeting will be advertized.

To recap, this was the 4th Zoning Hearing Board scheduled by One More Properties this year.

May 29th – Cancelled after being advertized

June 20th – Cancelled due to an overflow crowd at the township office

September 18th – Cancelled after being advertized

October 29th – Continued for a future date

Becky Bartlett covers these meetings because the public has a right to know what its government is doing.
