PRESENTATION ON TRAIL FEASIBILITY STUDY
HRG Engineering held their 2nd public meeting on establishing a trail system in the township which could be used for pedestrians and bikes. A draft study is available for public comment until December 5th, a link should be available on the website. An updated draft will be provided on December 12th with possible adoption on December 17th.
The plan includes proposals for 36 miles of connections for a total cost of $10 million. Bob Neitz from Lehigh Valley Greenways pointed out that a Trail Feasibility Study is a guiding document which is needed to apply for grants and that the trails won’t be added all at once, but over a period of years.
TOWNSHIP ENGINEER
Approval to award a bid to Baseline Contracting for $230,055 for the Penn Dixie Bridge Rehabilitation. Work is expected to begin in late winter/early spring.
The engineer reported that PennDOT has expressed willingness to rehabilitate the swale along Tatamy Road and to replace the cross pipes if needed. Drainage in that area has been an ongoing problem for several years.
Demolition of the Ranch House at the corner of Friedenstahl and Schoneck Avenues has begun.
TOWNSHIP SOLICITOR
Approval to advertise Ordinance No. 204 to establish a Fire Protection Services Tax.
TOWNSHIP MANAGER/ADMINISTRATION
Approval to move $1 million in Open Space funds into a 1-year CD.
Approval to advertise 2026 Board and Committee meeting schedules.
Approval for The Home Town Press to publish the 2026 Spring and Fall newsletters.
PUBLIC WORKS
Approval for an increase for Pedro Gonzalez to the 95% Laborer 1 Rate ($30.95/hour).
Approval for an increase for Tim Sigley to the 90% Laborer 2 rate ($28.28/hour).

William Bartlett announced that planting of trees and shrubs at Harvest Grove began this week.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Approval to pay for college assistance for a Police department employee.
Approval for the promotion of Danielle Petrucci from Officer to Detective.
Approval to advance a part-time Officer to full-time status.
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Chief Fassl announced that he will retire on January 1st and that Mike Kummer will be the new chief.
