PUBLIC COMMENT
I thanked the township for taking up the issue to install more ‘no parking during school hours’ signs on 4th Street. The township passed an ordinance in 2025 to prevent non-residents from parking east of the High School during school hours. Recently, students have been parking in areas without the signs.
SUPERVISORS
Approval to appoint Joseph Adamski as Deputy Tax Collector.
TOWNSHIP MANAGER/ADMINISTRATION
Approval to cash in a Certificate of Deposit from the General Fund for a total of $266,221. Lisa Klem reported that tax money hasn’t started coming in yet and the township needs the funds to cover bills.
Approval of a Resolution No. 26-06 in support of America’s Semiquincentennial, or 250th anniversary, this year.
PLANNING & ZONING
Approval of an Extension Letter for the plan for Schoneck Overlook (east of the Intermediate School on Tatamy Road) till January 31, 2027.
Approval of an Extension Request for the Aspire Nazareth Plan #1 and #2 till February 28, 2026. (This is the Calandra property on the corner of Friedenstahl Ave and East Lawn Road.)
Approval of Resolution No. 26-07, recognizing the new owner of 373 East Lawn Road, MMA Real Estate Investment Holdings LLC. (Site of the former Ranch House.) The Supervisors reported that the developer intends to use a plan previously approved by the township.
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Approval to add additional “no parking during school hours” signs on 4th Street.
The supervisors discussed who to call if you discover a dead bird, especially a snow goose. The police department has the number for who to call.
FIRE DEPARTMENT
Fire Chief Kumer reminded everyone that, depending on the amount of snow we get this weekend, response times will increase .
Becky Bartlett covers these meetings because citizens have a right to know what their government is doing.
