SUPERVISORS
The Supervisors discussed Data Centers. UNT, Lower Nazareth and Chapman Borough have a joint municipal agreement. Currently, there are no rules concerning Data Centers in any of the zoning ordinances. Scott Sylvainus said that the Planning Commission is looking into this. Solicitor Gary Asteak said that Moore and Palmer have already addressed this issue through conditional use and other requirements. Scott recommended that any new regulations address auxiliary power supplies and require impact statements on public health, welfare and safety before any submissions. Township Manager Lisa Klem said she would contact Lower Nazareth about collaborating on language.
William Bartlett reported that he has heard complaints about school buses speeding in the area around the high school.
Scott Sylvainus announced that the high school has started an internship program and some of the township’s departments could use the extra help this summer.
TOWNSHIP ENGINEER
The Engineer discussed possible updates to the SALDO.
TOWNSHIP MANAGER/ADMINISTRATION
Approval of an Electronic recycling event to be held on June 6th from 9AM – 11AM at Tuskes Park and 155 Friedenstahl Ave.
PLANNING & ZONING
The Conservation District (CD) presented a plan to increase their parking spaces at their property on Newberg Road, but Gary Asteak said approval from the Supervisors was not required and CD could just work with the Zoning Officer.
MS-4
The Engineer reported that pollution prevention projects are nearly complete and that the township will have to address issues with the volume of runoff.
Becky Bartlett covers these meetings because citizens have a right to know what their government is doing.
