PUBLIC COMMENTARY

I asked about the lawsuit filed by Faust Family Limited Partnership against the township and all residents of Farmview Estates. The Court issued an order for Faust’s lawyers to inform the defendants of the lawsuit via certified mail, but I haven’t received the notification yet. Lisa Klem reported that the township hasn’t received its letter yet and neither had the other Farmview residents in attendance. Solicitor Gary Asteak said he’d look into it.

A resident complained about someone who caused an accident on Shoeneck Avenue this summer not being charged by the township and that neighbors in the area are suffering with PTSD from the incident. She also said that Rep. Joe Emrick is telling people that when the Library closes down (Mike Rinker said he’s not aware of any such action) and what will happen with the Library Tax dollars UNT collects.

RECOGNITION OF UNT POLICE OFFICERS

Chief Cope delivered citations to the following officers for helping with the bomb threat at the Nazareth Football game on October 8^th: Mark Herman, Christine Trauger, Brian Kiselewsky, Kunden Dave, Cory Fluck and Dave Gentile.

Detective Rosatto, who worked with the FBI to help solve the crime, received a Letter of Commendation.  

TOWNSHIP SOLICITOR

Approval of Ordinance No. 187 which will establish a speed limit of 25 mph on Shoeneck and Friedenstahl Avenues.

Residents of Shoeneck Avenue complained about speeding on their road so bad they’re afraid to event pick up their mail. They told the supervisors that they can repost signs all they want but, unless the police do enforcement, the new speed limit is useless. Mike Rinker asked Chief Cope to arrange for traffic control once the signs go up.

The Zoning Hearing Board met recently and determined that Project Tadmor is correctly classified as a warehouse and it is permitted use under the zoning regulations

In 2022 the township will review the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulations.

Approval to accept the resignation of a full-time employee

Supervisors asked the zoning officer to check out the old ranch house on the corner of Friedenstahl Avenue and 191. It’s falling apart and bits of siding and roofing material are blowing off of it.

RECREATION

Kristin Mullen was appointed to fill the remainder of a term which will end on 12/31/22

POLICE

Decommission of Car 541 – the Decoy car.
