Notice- Public Hearing for UNT Stormwater Management Ordinance

The Board of Supervisors of Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania will conduct Public Hearing and consider adoption of the following proposed Ordinance at its Regular Meeting on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 7:00PM at the Upper Nazareth Township Building, 100 Newport Avenue, Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.

The Board of Supervisors invite public comment on the proposed Ordinance to be enacted pursuant to the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Stormwater Management Act, and Second Class Township Code regulating stormwater management within the Bushkill Creek Watershed and Monocacy Creek Watershed, the following of which is only a summary:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF UPPER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP REGULATING STORMWATER MANAGEMENT AND PROVIDEING FOR GENERAL PROVISIONS, DEFINITIONS, STORMWATER MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS, DRAINAGE PLAN REQUIREMENTS, FEES AND EXPENSES, STORMWATER OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE PLAN REQUIREMENTS, PROHIBITIONS, RIGHT OF ENTRY, NOTIFICATION AND ENFORCEMENT, WITH ATTACHMENTS INCORPORATING THE MODEL STORMWATER OPERATION & MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT, PRELIMINARY SITE INVESTIGATION AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS, MUNICIPAL STORMWATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICTS AND STORM DRAINAGE PROBLEM AREAS, BUSHKILL CREEK WATERSHED TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, MONOCACY CREEK WATERSHED TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS, LOW IMPACT DEVELOPMENT PRACTICLES, AND DESIGN STANDARDS FOR STORMWATER MANAGEMENT INFRASTRUCTURE, EXCEPTIONS, ENFORCEMENT, PENALTIES, REPEALER AND SERVERABILITY.

Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available for public inspection at the Upper Nazareth Township Municipal Building, 100 Newport Avenue, Nazareth, Pennsylvania, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM., Monday through Friday and on the Township website.
