SUPERVISOR COMMENTS

The Supervisors received a request to install a “Deer Crossing” sign on Beil Avenue. Scott Sylvainus pointed out that multiple township roads could need these signs listing Tatamy Road, Friedenstahl Avenue, Mt. Vernon, etc. Police Chief Cope said he was only aware of car accidents involving deer on Route 248 and around the Gracedale Complex. Supervisors tabled the request and plan to monitor for the need for warning signs.

SOLICITOR

Gary Asteak said that the Stormwater Ordinance had been advertised and is scheduled to be voted on at the August 21st meeting.

The landowner for the Penn Dixie project posted a notice on the property and in a local newspaper announcing “No Trespassing.” Gary contacted him to say that such a notification could interfere with the Penn Dixie land management plan. The property owner clarified that the notice doesn’t apply to township employees.
