SUPERVISOR COMMENTS
NorthPoint presented on the warehouse on Gun Club Road, requesting temporary approval of occupancy. NorthPoint said they have a tenant ready to sign a contract and just needed offsite traffic improvements on 248 and Daniels Road to be completed by PennDOT. Supervisors approved amending the original agreement by a vote of 3-to-2 (Sayago and Bartlett voted against) for a temporary Certificate of Occupancy as long as NorthPoint provides a weekly report on truck traffic. The tenant is Western Post which will ship products into then out of the store. North point claimed that there would be no more than 50 trucks a day into and out of the facility. If that is exceeded, the temporary approval of occupancy can be cancelled.
Brian Sayago introduced a draft of a purchasing policy which would grant authority for employees to place orders for supplies, make purchases of equipment up to $2,500 and make emergency purchases. Supervisors will discuss the policy in September.
Scott Sylvainus said the school district has installed a new gate at 4th Street entrance into the Intermediate School. This new gate will automatically close after a vehicle passes through.
Mike Rinker reported that there was flooding over the weekend on 1st Street, Friedenstahl Avenue and Tatamy Road near the Intermediate School and the Rail Road crossing. The Fire Department had to respond and pump water out of the area.
