Controversy over voting at Butz Elementary continues

October 29, 2018 – NASD School Board Meeting

Absent: Linda Stubits.

Community Corner

Crystal Mulada, who’s been advocating to move the polling place from Butz Elementary, told the board that she has arranged for a 10 year contract to move voting to the Fire house. She has also talked to a lawyer who spoke to the solicitor for the Election Commission. The Solicitor said that, even with a 10-year contract, the Election’s office will not move the poll. Her next plan is to meet with County Executive Lamont McClure.

Intermediate Unit #20

The IU is planning to rent a facility in the northern part of their area to support parents and students. They’re expanding an academy parking lot near Jacobsburg and have filed a grant for security/safety with the state.
