There will be a collection of Hazardous Waste at NCC’s main campus on May 21st (8:30-2:00 PM)
On May 28th the Together for Derek 5K Run/Walk will be held at Nazareth Middle School (8:00 AM—start time)
A thank you was issued to residents who picked up trash around Farmview estates for Earth Day in April.
A bobcat is making frequent visits to Farmview Estates. The PA Game Commission urged people not to interact with the cat at all and especially not to feed it.
The Cancer Society expressed interest in selling hot dogs near the Township Building on election day (November 8th). The township solicitor said there should be no commercial solicitations in the area while people are voting.
The supervisors will schedule a meeting with the School Board to discuss the traffic nightmare around the Intermediate School on 4th Street.
The township has received the permit for installing the light at Friedenstahl Ave and East Lawn. A pre-construction meeting has been scheduled for next week.
- June 13th is the anticipated start date for the project
- The strike at Verizon might delay that because it will interfere with moving the poles
The issue of Ordinance #172, which will restrict parking on Newport Avenue, was tabled following a great deal of input from affected residents.
Eastern Industries is planning to appeal a denial from the zoning board to build a plant on Tatamy Road.
The supervisors approved $466,000 of Improvement Agreements for the Chrin Commerce Center.

Approval to increase the pay of the township secretary to $20.08.
Approval to pay for a new laptop for the tax collector. (~$1,200).
Approval of conditional offers of employment to 2 part-time police officers.
Approval to hire a full-time police officer.
