Students Recognized for Leadership

Nazareth School Board Meeting – April 10, 2017

Student Achievement-

James Tazzetto was recognized for raising $8,100 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during a 7 week fundraising contest. Eleven participating schools in the Lehigh Valley raised a combined total of $102,000 between them.

Robert Falatyn won the Weidner University Leadership award which makes him eligible for a $20,000 scholarship.

Several students held a mini-THON which raised $20,379 for childhood cancer.

Ryan Miller was awarded the Dwight D. Eisenhower Leadership Award.

Superintendent Riker did not make a statement about his April 10th  phone call to parents concerning threats of a violent incident at the high school.

Agenda Items

The board approved a motion to replace the roof on the high school at a cost of $3,461,340.

Items VII &IX passed. 

 

Becky Bartlett is an Upper Nazareth resident and covers these meetings because residents have a right to be informed about what their government is doing.
