October 31st from 6:00 – 8:00 PM – Trick or Treat

October 31st Halloween Party at the Firehouse from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. No chairs or tables will be available in order to discourage lingering

The meeting was held online and, once again, the audio system was terrible. At one point the sound cut out for 5 minutes and questions about it posted to the Chat feature were ignored.

September 2020 Financial and Treasurer’s Reports

The Supervisors approved this but it was not provided to the public with the agenda and I could not find it on the webpage.

Township Engineer

Approval for a Letter of Credit Reduction No. 8 for Heritage Village Phase 2

Approval for a Letter of Credit Reduction No. 2 for Heritage Village Phase 3& 4

Approval for a Curb Field Change Request for Heritage Village Phase 3 & 4

  • With no video and no documents provided with the agenda or available on-line, the public had no chance to comment on this change. I pointed this out to the Supervisors at the end of the meeting.

Project Status Report – No idea what this was about because the sound was so bad. DEP might be involved.

Police Chief Cope asked for something but the sound was distorted

Planning & Zoning

Approval to accept a letter of resignation from Wilhelmina Donnelly and to thank her for her years of service.

Approval to appoint Kelly Jo Smith to the Planning Commission until 12/31/2020– she had previously submitted an application

  • At the end of the meeting, I asked it the township had ever let the township residents know this position was available.  Answer – they did not.

Someone named Jeff called in from Bushkill Twp called in about municipalities sharing keys for mutual aid areas.

Mike Rinker said he wanted to put out an RFP for Engineering Services

Kelly Jo Smith called in to thank the Supervisors for her appointment.

Becky Bartlett covers these meetings because citizens have a right to know what their government is doing—at least they’re supposed to according to the Sunshine Act.
