The Board of Supervisors of Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, will conduct Public Hearing and consider adoption of the following proposed Ordinance at its Regula Meeting on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 7:00 PM.
The Board of Supervisors invite public comment on the proposed Ordinance, the following of which is only a summary:
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COUNCIL TO SERVE AS AN ADVISORY BODY TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE UPPER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP FOR THE PURPOSES OF GATHERING INFORMATION AND PROVIDING RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY BODY TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF UPPER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP FOR THE PURPOSES OF GATHERING INFORMATION AND PROVIDING RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, INCLUDING THE USE OF OPEN SPACE, WAYS TO PROMOTE CONSERVATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES, ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS, PROVIDING OPERATING PROCEDURES, APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS AND SETTING FORTH POWERS AND DUTIES.
Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available for public inspection at the Upper Nazareth Township Municipal Building, 100 Newport Avenue, Nazareth, Pennsylvania, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM., Monday through Friday and on the Township website. Copies of the proposed Ordinance are also available for public inspection at the Northampton County Law Library, Northampton County Courthouse, 669 Washington Street, Easton, Pennsylvania, and The Express Times, 18 Centre Square, Easton, Pennsylvania.
