SUPERVISORS
Congratulations to Supervisor Kristin Mullen, recognized by the PA Federation of Democratic Women as an Outstanding Elected Official
Approval to adopt the 2023 General Fund Budget
Approval to adopt the 2023 Real Estate Tax Rate (7.59 mil) and the 2023 Special Library Tax (0.60 mil) by a vote of 3 to 2. (Mike Rinker and Robert Disbrow voted against). The tax rates are the same as in 2022.
Approval of Act 511 Taxes (Real estate transfer tax, Open Space tax, etc)
Approval of the 2023 Liquid Fuels Budget
Approval of the 2023 Recreation Budget
Approval of the 2023 Library Budget by a vote of 3 to 2 (Rinker and Disbrow voted against)
ENGINEER
The Board discussed the drainage issue at the corner of Mt. Vernon Ave and 1st Street. The Engineer and Public Works Director explained that there is no easy solution to this problem. Someone suggested a committee to study the issue and determine what can be done. The meeting will probably be held on January 18th at 6:30PM
SOLICITOR
Approval of an amendment to the Police Employee Pension Plan
TOWNSHIP MANAGER
Approval to apply for a PA Small Water and Sewer Program grant for $486K, which includes a $73K match from the township, to address the systems at Tewksbury and Sycamore.
Approval to advertise the 2023 meeting schedules
Approval to advertise for an employee to work as a Municipal Clerk. The salary for this position is included in the 2023 budget
PLANNING AND ZONING
Approval of a Scenic View Estates Amendment to reduce the number of streetlights to 4
Approval of an Overlook Estates Preliminary/Final Subdivision and Lot Line Adjustment
RECREATION
Approval to advance with a survey to establish boundaries for a walking trail at Leibert Park
Approval to explore expanding the Police Department parking lot by a length of 20 feet which will help with moving vehicles around during snowstorms
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Chief Cope reported that the department has taken possession of 3 new vehicles: 2 F150s and a Durango
