The Board of Supervisors of Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a Public Hearing and consider enactment of the following proposed Ordinance at a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Upper Nazareth Township Municipal Building, 100 Newport Avenue, Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
The Board of Supervisors invite public comment on the proposed Ordinance entitled;
An Ordinance amending the Upper Nazareth Township Zoning Ordinance of 2025 amending Table 6.1, Off-Street Parking Requirements, specifically referred to in Part 6, Off-Street Parking and Loading Section 601.1, Required Number of Off-Street Parking Spaces; adding the definitions of Thermal Impact Mitigation Plan, Cooling System and Waste Heat; adding Data Center Thermal Impact Mitigation Requirements; Severability; Repealer; and Enactment.
The above-referenced Ordinance in summary amends the Upper Nazareth Township Zoning Ordinance by adding the definitions of Cooling System, Waste Heat, and Thermal Impact Mitigation Plan and providing detailed Thermal Impact Mitigation Requirements, Contents of Thermal Impact Mitigation Plans, Thermal Performance Standards, Mitigation Measures, Review, Compliance and Waivers. The Ordinance also amends the provisions pertaining to the Required Number of Off-Street Parking Spaces for Public Recreation.
