SUPERVISORS

Approval to send the Data Center Ordinance to the Lehigh Valley Planning Commission (LVPC) and the NAZCOG for formal review and comments.

The township received a letter from someone requesting a fire hydrant be installed on Gum Street. A Gum Street resident claimed that, should a fire break out at his house, the fire department would not be able to reach it with a hose. Representatives from the fire department and Emergency Management claimed that, yes, they could reach the house from nearby hydrants. Brian Sayago said he would support putting a hydrant there but he wants to know how much it will cost and who will pay for it. Someone asked how many more situations like this are in the township and Fire Chief Kummer said there are issues with hydrant access on the west side of the township, but they can use supporting tankers to deliver water. Township Manager Lisa Klem said she’d put this issue on the agenda for the May 6th meeting.
